In 2018 I worked with a tech startup that was creating a new tourism app launching in Wales called, Go Valley. My role in the project was to design and market the new app to help generate outside interest and potential new investment. I designed the app in Adobe Illustrator and produced the marketing video.

In 2008, I co-founded a successful online dating business, Adaptation Dating. Running this business demands competence on a daily basis in project management, graphic design, web development and online marketing. We currently own a portfolio of over fifty dating websites and our biggest brands are available in five different countries around the world, with a combined revenue of over £3,000,000 since launching.

The aim of MePlan50, an EU funded think tank, was to raise awareness of ageism in the workplace in Wales. I was part of a small media team that produced short films, documentaries and graphics to help highlight the key messages and findings the project uncovered.

After leaving university I applied for my first web design job which I secured through the Welsh graduate opportunities scheme, Go Wales. This was my first introduction into web design and development. My job was to design and develop front-end websites for different dating interests and niches. The knowledge and experience from this position allowed me to perfect my creative craft and understand the requirements to run and maintain an online business, which later that year I started.

In 2010 I returned for another course provided by lynda.com. This time the course was specifically in Adobe Illustrator, which up to this point I had a little experience using. The course provided an in-depth education into using the software and allowed me to work through and improve my skills from a basic to advanced level. Adobe Illustrator is now my go to editing application which I use for nearly all web and graphic design tasks.

In 2008 I worked through several online courses covering a range of web design and development areas. It was during this time I learnt to work with WordPress, which I now use to build nearly all my websites.

I spent 3 years at Newport University studying Film. I specialised in writing and cinematography and graduated with a 2:1.

This was a 2 year course in Film and Video production and studies. I graduated with distinction level and a passion for the film industry.
