Hazelcare limited is personalised care service that always puts the client first. Their vision is to offer high quality and personalised care by finding the right people who genuinely care about helping and getting things right for their clients.

Design Brief

I have been working with HazelCare for over three years and in that time their website has gone through two redesigns to match their growth and goals. I was hired to manage both of these projects and worked closely with their management team to produce their vision.

The main goal of their website has always been to inform and attract new clients who are looking to utilise any of the care services they offer. As their business has grown they have also introduced new technology to help enhance their level of care and communication with their staff. This is an exciting new feature for the client and something that they wanted to promote and incorporate into their latest website build.

They have always given me a great amount of creative freedom when it comes to the design and branding of their website. This opportunity has continually allowed me to share my ideas for their digital vision and showcase my talent and flare.

Finished Product

You can view the current version of the HazelCare website here, www.hazelcare.co.uk. I designed the website with a natural colour palette that used the blues and greens from the client logos as the main accent colours. These are used for buttons, content highlights and important icons that create consistency throughout the website. This colour scheme complimented the use of natural backgrounds and graphics like leaves and flowers which are used in both the header and footer of the website. I also split up the page content by introducing a secondary beige background colour to help create a subtle difference in the page layout.

On a few pages I have used hand-drawn illustrations to soften the user experience and help the content feel more digestible and approachable. As well as these few hand drawn illustrations I have included a lot of large photographic imagery showing friendly staff and happy clients in a range of care service environments. This finished design theme should make the website feel safe, approachable and established.

I built the website with WordPress using Elementor Pro and the OceanWP theme. It includes features like full-width hero sliders, testimonial carousels, interactive on-site client forms using WP Forms and a blog areas for posting news and updates.
